From the village centre follow the road to Eggenschwand – at the southern end of Kanderstegas. Alternatively, follow the route along the river Kander past the International Scout Centre. The unpaved road up to the Gasterntal is steep but short and offers breath taking views. The road continues through the valley to Selden. Those who want to carry on will reach the end of the route 10 minutes later in Heimritz. Take extra care during the descent through the dark tunnels!

Safety instructions
The route from Kandersteg via Waldhaus and Selden to Heimritz can be covered by bike. Cyclists also have to adhere to the regular timetable on the Chluse section. Please also note that in the summer on the gravel road, a considerable amount of dust from cars and buses must be expected.
