From the village center, follow the village road to the Bären barracks. Alternatively, take the path along the Kander, past the international scout center. The road then steadily climbs up to Usser Ueschinen (several hairpin bends, asphalt). At the Lohner restaurant/alpine hut, turn right towards Ryharts - Allmenalp and continue climbing. Enjoy the ever-more beautiful view. Then continue on to Allmenalp.
Approach
By car via Spiez - Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.
Public Transport
Arrival at Kandersteg train station
South of the Lötschberg, north of the Kandertal: this station between Brig (38 min) and Bern (61 min) operates on an hourly schedule – an ideal base for many excursions.
