The program community hall with exhibitions and lectures on the weekly theme will be available at the beginning of January 2026.

Guests as well as locals stroll through the snowy streets, of course dressed in period-appropriate clothing from the turn of the century. Besides the diverse program, benefit from nostalgic packages offered by the local hotels.

The Belle Epoque event is considered the only one of its kind in all of Switzerland. So, if you want to dive into the era of your ancestors, travel to Kandersteg at the end of January for a few days, rent the appropriate outfit from a costume shop, try your hand at the social etiquette of the young 20th century, and enjoy unforgettable holiday days in the winter chalet village!

2026 WILL SEE THE BELLE EPOQUE WEEK UNDER THE THEME "TRAVEL & TRANSPORT".

At various locations, interested guests will learn quite a bit on this topic. The opening will traditionally take place at the Bahnhofmatte. People dressed in nostalgic clothing are invited to participate in the grand promenade without registration.
