Alphorn Days 2024 programme
Wednesday, 28 August 2024, 6 pm
Opening concert by the alphorn group ‘Echo vo Fründe’ in front of the Tourist Centre (in case of rain in the community hall)
Thursday, 29 August 2024, 6 pm
Alphorn concert by the instructors Mike Maurer & Sami Lörtscher, Hotel Ermitage
Followed by an alphorn ‘taster session for those interested’. Anyone who wants to can try to elicit sounds from the alphorn!
Saturday, 31 August 2024, 11 am - 3 pm
Alphorn course in the village
A concert will take place at 10.30 am, 11.30 am and 2.30 pm at the following locations
Hotel Blüemlisalp
AHOK Schweizerhof
Landgastof Ruedihus
(In case of rain, at 3 pm in the community hall)
4 pm
Joint final concert on the Bahnhofmatte
(In case of rain, at 3 pm in the community hall)
Direction: Mike Maurer and Sami Lörtscher
Course content: Basics, embouchure and blowing technique, sound care, intonation, ensemble playing, composition, literature, playing in the great outdoors. Suitable for alphorn beginners and advanced players.
