But the highlight is certainly the two viewpoints Hörnli and Taubenfels. Here, the view sweeps from the Niesenkette over the entire Engstligtal valley. Starting in Adelboden, the hike ascends steadily to Höreli. The alpine garden on Höreli is a wonderful little gem that unites all the herbs and flowers of the surrounding area in a small space. This garden is lovingly tended by nature lovers and invites you to linger. Then the hike continues. It leads at a steady elevation above the village to Taubenfels, where another stop is inevitable because this spot offers a splendid view over the village and towards Lohner and Wildstrubel. Now begins the descent through the Senggi forest down to the village.
Approach
From Bern, follow the A6 motorway towards Thun/Interlaken. Take the "Spiez" exit and continue via Frutigen to Adelboden.
Public Transport
Up to the alp or down to Frutigen? The bus station in the village centre connects the Engstligtal valley during the day and at night with the Moonliner. The mountain village is just 90 minutes from the capital city.
