The route leads briefly along the railway line and continues along the idyllic river Kander to the International Scout Centre. Take the newly laid winter hiking trail across the meadow to reach Eggeschwand (Sunnbüel cable car valley station). Cross the main road and walk into the wonderful "Filfalle" area. There you will find yourself in the middle of the popular 5 km cross-country ski trail and can experience the thrill of Nordic skiing at first hand. At the Waldhotel Doldenhorn, walk to the Ruedihus country inn, along the BLS railway line back to the station.

Approach

By car via Spiez - Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.

Public Transport

The Lötschberg to the south, the Kandertal to the north: this station between Brig (38 min.) and Bern (61 min.) has hourly intervals - an ideal base for many excursions.

Parking

The destination is set, and so is the parking space - on this map, drivers can quickly and easily find the right parking option in the Oberland municipality. Well then: engine off, winter hiking boots on!
