From the village center, follow the village road to Eggenschwand – at the southern end of Kandersteg. Alternatively, take the path along the Kander river, past the international scout center. On the breathtaking mountain road, after a short but steep climb, you reach the Gasterntal. Follow the natural road to Selden. Those who want to go further reach the end of the path in Heimritz after 10 minutes.
Then look forward to the rapid descent back to Kandersteg. Beware of the descent through the dark tunnels! Observe travel times, also with the bike!

The route from Kandersteg via Waldhaus and Selden to Heimritz can be covered by bike. On the Chluse section, cyclists must also observe the scheduled timetable . Also note that in summer, the gravel road often has significant dust development caused by passenger cars and buses.
